Transforming Amazon Creative Services into an internal creative agency

As Senior Art Director at Amazon, I played a key role in building the in-house creative team within Amazon Europe, establishing the resources and facilities needed for the team to deliver.

Leading 5 art directors and a team of over 60, we transformed Amazon Creative Services (ACS) into a leading in-house agency, serving internal and external clients across the UK and EU.

Within a year, ACS evolved from a volume graphics production unit into a bespoke internal agency, saving $2.3 million and reducing production output by 80%. My team improved shoot art direction and on-site experience, creating supercharged shoot teams in the UK and Germany while onboarding top external shoot talent. We developed bespoke store experiences, campaigns, and seasonal activations for all Amazon EU departments, partnering with clients like Microsoft, Bose and the Madrid Metro amongst many others.

With a keen eye on continual learning, I hosted creative sessions with top creative industry talent, inviting the entire business to attend both in person and virtually.

These efforts elevated the customer experience across EU Amazon websites, driving growth, audience awareness, and engagement – and transforming ACS from a cost centre into a profit centre.
